My biggest problem with my PBX is that I'm in the dark when it comes to
access.  

For example.  This morning I added an ATA to the system.  I then tried
to dial my extension and wait for it to go to cell-phone.  Well I got
MOH then my voicemail in *.  No attempt to go to cell.  Looking at
syslog I see "Auto-congesting call due to slow response".  In this case
I've lost my trunk to the outside world.  I did not know this.  

To lose the trunk is like someone digging up a T1 line outside the
office.  Now if UDP is connectionless this means I will only know of
trunk failure when I try to make a call.  Maybe I can get * to monitor
my trunk and create an alarm when it fails?  Maybe it can just monitor
the trunk.  I can create my on alarm.
