Steve,

I am planning to look at EasyVoxBox for my next one (tomorrow morning). I
understand that is compiles everything and you can run whatever versions you
want within limits.

I have heard more than one person say that 1.4 still had a few little
beasties.

Subject: [Aaug] Rushing to Asterisk 1.4?

Hi Gang,

Here's a question for the group.

Who's upgrading to Asterisk 1.4 and why, and if not, why (other than to be
able to still use standard Trixbox/Freebox)?

Since my development work needs to use a kernel later than good old Centos
4.4, I'm going to rebuild my primary Asterisk box with Fedora Core 6,
install Trixbox using the Fedora Core 6 Trixbox respin at
trixboxtools and then install Asterisk 1.4 on top of that.

Has anyone else in the group done this?

See y'all at the meeting this Tuesday!

Steve Henke
